Last minute from out of town....They were so accommodating and compassionate ....nothing but praise...just what we needed...quite evenings, passing spent rocking on the porch ....to the homemade country style hot breakfast, just adds to the experience

This hotel is a beautiful, romantic destination. I attended a fundraiser for the non-profit Vision 2020 Inc, the Sons of the Pioneers gave a concert in the Entertainment Hall. This historic hotel is perfect for weddings or romantic getways.
The food was delicious. Service great and atmosphere splendid. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Such a treat to eat and visit in an old authentically restored 1900s hotel. The people who served us were so friendly and let us take our time and enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend the Donoho and will be going back soon. You must call for reservations. They cook a family style meal--fresh food in bowls like you ate at grandma's house. Fried chicken, country ham, green beans, creamed corn, potatoes, biscuits, red gravy, sliced homegrown tomatoes, pecan pie. You pass it around your table and fill your plate. Such a delightful surprise off the beaten path and the hotel was beautiful. A gilded age gem. I thought Mark Twain or Edith Wharton might appear at any second.
